Horses are highly sensitive to movement and emotion. They act as mirrors between the leader’s behaviors and inner emotions. This deeper understanding and developed sense of connection can allow clients to release any emotional barriers that could be hindering their progress in traditional therapy.

In addition, because the horses are so aware, this allows the clients to adopt the same level of self-awareness and self-reflection. It is a constant reminder to be present in the current moment which is a useful tool at the barn and in real life.

What is Equine Facilitated Therapy?

A great addition to traditional therapies. Equine Facilitated Therapy is a version of psychotherapy that involves bringing clients to a farm where they can groom, feed, and interact with the horses. This methodology has been used since Grecian times and develops a deep bond of trust and helps with emotional processing and self-esteem.
